I plan to use my time in the North Fork to do field audio recordings and sampling of visual materials for an upcoming immersive theater project I am developing in collaboration with the Asia Culture Center in S. Korea. I will use a 3d scanner and a custom made rig to digitize natural elements in the surrounding areas and in particular in the Mashomak Preserve, Tidal Wetlands and Gardiners Island. I will also use my time during the residency to edit video and sound tracks for said project. The final piece is slated to premiere in Summer 2021.

Due to its unique natural settings and proximity to wetlands and wild areas, the location and timing of the residency couldn't be better: I was planning to do field trips during that period, but the opportunity to reside locally in the area will make everything easier.
